The Dulles Sacramental Model of the Church, created by theologian Avery Dulles, identifies the Church as a sacrament or sign of God's presence in the world. The model emphasizes the Church's role in mediating God's grace and providing a visible expression of the spiritual reality of the Christian faith.
The model identifies six aspects of the Church's sacramental nature, each with its own unique characteristics and contributions:

The Church as a sacrament of salvation: The Church is a visible sign of God's saving presence in the world and a means of communicating God's grace to people.

The Church as a community of disciples: The Church is a community of believers who gather to worship, learn, and support each other in their spiritual journeys.
