Martin Jr., Rev. William (Bill) F.

Born May 2, 1948 and passed away on February 24, 2023.

Preceded in death by his parents, William Sr. and Elizabeth and siblings Barbara and John. Survived by siblings: Bob (Janette) Martin, Helen (Rick) Swanson, Kathleen (Don) Cinfo, Judy (Mark) Kane and Elizabeth Sauvageau.

Fr. Bill was ordained June 3, 1978, and served at the following parishes: St. Margaret Mary, Golden Valley as Pastor, Christ the King, Minneapolis as Assistant Pastor. He then served as pastor at St. Mary’s, Waverly, Guardian Angels, Oakdale, and St. Richard’s, Richfield. For many years he was chaplain for the Twin Cities Cursillo groups.

A kind and gentle priest, he was a scripture scholar and accomplished organist and soloist. Classical music was his hobby.

Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday, March 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 8260 Fourth St. N., Oakdale, MN. Visitation begins at 10:00 a.m. For livestream visit this site. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Guardain Angels Catholic Church. 

Additional Notes:
Archbishop Hebda will preside at the Mass and Fr. Rodger and Fr. Joe will be concelebrating. Fr. Rodger will be giving the homily.

Lunch immediately following the Mass in Peter O’Neill Hall catered by Lake Elmo Inn. Burial will be Wednesday, March 8 at 10:00 in Guardian Angels Cemetery. For full obituary see Wulff Funeral Home. All those who knew Fr.
