Rev. Terrance M. McKinley is an elder at Reid Temple AME (African Episcopal Methodist) Church in Washington, D.C. and writes and speaks frequently about racial, economic and environmental justice. Rev. McKinley’s call is frequently focused on a reminder for each of us to think deeply about how to put our own unique gifts into service to build the Reign of God. In a recent essay, he said this:
Wherever you are, whatever platform you have, whatever sphere of influence you enjoy, the time is now for all of us to do something.
This week, I invite you to think about what your own “something” might be. As you look around your world, who do you hear crying out for justice? How will you respond?
