Lord, Renew Your Church
The Archdiocese of St. Paul-Minneapolis has launched a capital campaign entitled Lord, Renew Your Church to raise $250 million "to maintain the vitality of our local Church for this generation and beyond." Priorities of this campaign are: strengthening our parishes ($125m), Educating Children and Young People for Discipleship ($57.5m), Sustaining the Cathedral of St. Paul and the Basilica of St. Mary ($30m), Caring for our Clergy and Future Clergy ($25m), and Providing for Those in Need--The Corporal Words of Mercy ($12.5m). Each parish in the archdiocese will participate in the coming months. Guardian Angels is in Wave 1.

Thanks to the generous hearts of our Parish Community, Guardian Angels has raised $1,390,525 in pledges out of our $2,100,000 goal. We are 66% of the way there! Our parishioners continue to give generously! We are deeply grateful for those who have already contributed to our goal. If you have not yet been specifically invited to participate in this historic campaign, please prayerfully consider your participation until you receive more information. Our Share of Funds
Every parishioner in the archdiocese is being asked to participate in the Lord, Renew Your Church campaign. Each parish will be assigned a campaign goal and keep a portion of the funds raised in the parish to spend on parish needs. Our parish goal is $2,100,000 with 60 % gifted back to the parish for $1,260,000.
Through prayer, planning and conversation we identified three initiatives intended to strengthen Guardian Angels mission and vision including:
Building, addressing much needed upkeep and repairs to our facilities;- Beauty, renewing our sanctuary – the heart of our worship and sacramental life;
- and Beyond, Supporting and building our endowment to serve parishioners and the wider community in the future.
55 % of the funds will be used for building upkeep and repairs; 40 % towards Beauty or remodeling of the sanctuary; and 5 % for Beyond or strengthening ministries and extending our mission beyond our walls.
