The Giving Center Is on the Move
The Giving Center will be relocating during the week of July 6.
Don't worry - the Giving Center is not going away. It will simply be returning to its original location across the hallway from the parish office, in the area that once served as the church coat closets.
Moving the Giving Center will help restore the welcoming and open entrance that the church was originally designed to provide. In its current location, the Giving Center occupies a significant portion of the gathering space just inside the main doors and can make it difficult for visitors to see the sign directing them to the parish office. While regular parishioners know their way around, first-time visitors may find navigating the entrance more challenging.
Security considerations have also played a role in this decision. In light of increased awareness regarding church security, including concerns raised by recent incidents at other parishes, creating a more open entrance area will improve visibility from the parish office. Currently, staff members have limited sightlines to the main entrance, making it difficult to monitor who is entering the building.
Thanks to a generous gift from a donor, we are also exploring improvements to the parish office that would provide better visibility of the entrance and enhance overall security. These plans remain in the preliminary stages, and additional information will be shared as details become available.
The staff has been discussing the relocation of the Giving Center for some time. Now that the original location is ready, the time has come for the Giving Center to return home.
Thank you for your understanding and support as we continue to make our parish more welcoming, accessible, and secure.
In Christ,
Fr. Joe Connelly
