Policy on Event Tables, Sales, and Sign-Up Times
To preserve the sacredness of the liturgy and ensure a prayerful atmosphere for all parishioners, the following guidelines apply to all tables, sales, sign-ups, and weekend events held on parish grounds.
- Timing of Tables and Sales
- Before Mass:
No sales, sign-ups, or promotional tables (including but not limited to candy bars, raffle tickets, flowers, or ministry sign-ups) are permitted before Mass.
This includes sitting at or standing behind a table before Mass begins. - During Mass:
Tables must remain unattended during the celebration of Mass. No activity may take place in the gathering space or any area that could detract from the prayerful environment of the liturgy. - After Mass:
Tables and activities may begin once Mass has concluded. Mass is considered concluded when the priest has processed out of the sanctuary.
After the 8:30am Mass, all tables must be cleared and unattended by 10:30am to allow for preparation and reverence before the 11:00am Mass.
- Weekend Events (e.g., Craft Fairs, Bazaars, Sales)
- Events must not take place during any scheduled Mass.
- On Saturdays, weekend events must conclude by 4:00pm, and all setup, cleanup, and event-related activity must also be completed by this time. This ensures there is no unnecessary activity before or during the 4:30pm Vigil Mass.
- On Sundays, events may begin no earlier than 12:15pm, after the conclusion of the 11:00am Mass.
- Exception: An exception is made for the Saturday of the Fall Festival, when event activities may continue past 4:00pm due to the special nature of this annual parish celebration.
