Chesterton Academy Update
Over the past several months, we have continued to explore the possibility of welcoming Chesterton Academy to the Guardian Angels campus, and I would like to share a brief update with the parish.
On Wednesday, June 3, the faculty and staff of Chesterton Academy joined us for the Noon Mass and then shared lunch with our parish and school staff. It was a wonderful opportunity to build relationships and become better acquainted with one another. Following lunch, the Chesterton faculty spent time touring the school wing, discussing how various spaces might be utilized to support their educational mission while sharing our campus.
At the same time, important conversations continue regarding the practical details of a potential partnership. Pat Ryan, Brian Leonard, and I recently met with legal counsel to review and discuss a lease agreement. We are currently working through the details of that document to ensure that the interests of both the parish and the academy are properly addressed.
Once a proposed agreement is finalized, it will be presented to the Parish Council, Finance Council, and the Archdiocese for review and approval. No final decisions have been made, and we remain committed to following the appropriate process as we carefully evaluate this opportunity.
