HJH: Thank You
Hope for the Journey Home, Family Shelter (HJH), a ministry of Guardian Angels receives parishioner and staff support in many ways. Thank you to all groups and individuals who supported us with our donation requests and volunteer needs this past year. Some of the ways GA supported HJH in the last year are the following:
- Women’s Club for purchasing and packaging 160 lbs. of ground beef and facilitating a spring women’s hygiene drive.
- Five boy scouts and leaders who volunteered ten Hours.
- Ten summer stretch youth and two leaders who volunteered 24 hours.
- 29 adult dinner and overnight volunteers
- Ten volunteer house cleaners, home repair support, decorators, administrative tasks and advisory members.
- Allowing families to participate in Trunk or Treat.
- Allowing families to share in Fall Festival fun.
- Leftover food from various events such as craft fairs, Fall Festival, Fish Fry Dinners, Chicken Dinner, and more.
- Fulfilling several donation requests for bedding, towels, toilet paper, hygiene supplies and more.
