Get Ready for Big (small) Things: Small Groups

Posted by Michael Braun on

Over the last couple years, our Archdiocese has been in a synod, listening to the voices in the pews in order to discern the promptings of the Holy Spirit. One of the overwhelming themes was for an increase in opportunities for faith sharing and small groups. In my past year at GA, I have heard many people asking for the same thing. Last year, Archbishop Hebda released his Synod letter and, with it, made small group ministry the first priority for the Synod. I’m excited to announce that with the support of our shepherd, Guardian Angels, along with every parish in the Archdioceses, will be kicking off this small group initiative with a seven-week Parish Evangelization Training and Discernment Series. It will begin on Sunday, September 24 after the 11:00 a.m. Mass.

Why should you come?

  1. If you want to learn more about small group ministry, which has its roots in the beginning of the Church.
  2. If you want to learn more about the direction our Archdiocese and Guardian Angels are going.
  3. If you think you might have the gifts and calling to lead a small group or help to make one grow!
