For weeks now, the GA Sister Parish team has been keeping tabs on our sisters and brothers to the South and sharing bits and pieces in this space. This week, we heard that there is still a chance that we will be able to schedule a delegation from the South to come to GA before the end of 2018. We also received a wonderful letter from our sisters and brothers in Teustepe and we will be sending a reply this weekend. This past Thursday was the 100th day since the unrest began and that day was marked by more peaceful protest in the streets of Nicaragua. The Nicaraguan Catholic Bishops continue their advocacy for peace and calls for negotiations and action. Many Nicaraguans are putting their own personal safety at risk in order to speak the truth with love. Please pray for them all – and stop by the table in the back of church the next two weekends to join in sending them a note of prayerful support.
