GARDENING ANGELS SIGN UP NOW!
You are invited to join us in this unique ministry, guided by the Gospel, to grow fresh produce for our brothers and sisters who are struggling to meet their basic needs. This ministry serves community food shelves in the east metro area during the growing season by providing an assortment of fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs on a weekly basis from mid-June through mid-October.
There are various opportunities for participation. Interested parish members and persons from the surrounding community are invited to join us. Experience is not required and all ages and abilities are welcome!
Gardeners are needed to plant, weed, rototill, water, harvest, and prepare the produce for delivery. Please let us know if you are limited from doing any types of physical activities for physical or health reasons and we will match/adapt tasks to fit your abilities.
Drivers are needed to deliver produce on Tuesday and Friday mornings beginning in mid-June. Pick up for Friday delivery is on Thursday evening after the session and delivered the following morning.
Other ways to support this ministry include providing untreated grass clippings on our work days for use as mulch, helping with maintenance of our tillers, and donating garden equipment. Please call the parish office about donations.
