Sister Parish
Updated on: September 2nd, 2009Guardian Angels has a sister parish, Church of Saint Rita’s, in Teustepe, Nicaragua. Guardian Angels’ Sister Parish Committee oversees this relationship. The Committee sends delegations to Teustepe almost every year and receives delegations from Teustepe about every third year. The relationship has existed since the mid-1980s. The relationship is primarily one of accompaniment (described as hermanamiento, cultural exchange, prayering for each other, and responding to emergency needs. Since’s 1990s, we work with Association of Kaíros Foundation and School. The committee sells fair trade coffee and receives two plate collections to finance their trips to Nicaragua.
