Assistance

Emergency assistance is available to parishioners and transients for food, transportation and other limited emergency needs, after all other resources have been exhausted. Contact the Coordinator of Justice and Outreach at (651) 738-2223, ext. 131. If not available, contact another member of the Pastoral staff. In general, referals are made to other organizations, for example Christian Cupboard or Washington County Fianancial Assistance programs, to help solve the emergencies.

General emergency number: United Way First Call for Help, Dial “211.” Visit their web site at: http://www.unitedwaytwincities.org/

Plate Collections. Guardian Angels does collections for organizations that serve the poor and needs of our community on the first weekend of each month. These collections in the past have benefited organizations like: Christian Cupboard, Life Care Center East, Worker Justice Center, Hill House, Religious Retirement Fund, St. Paul Area Council of Churches, Campaign for Human Development, Youth Services Bureau and Sister Parish programs. For more information on plate collections contact the Coordinator of Justice and Outreach at the Parish Offices. In addition, contributions are made from 10% of the proceeds of the Annual Parish Festival. Those contributions go to other service and advocacy organizations that serve our community.
