Faith Formation

We believe that we form our faith over a lifetime of events, activities, experiences, etc.  Although we begin to learn as children, we need to continue to pursue the formation of our adult faith as well.  Guardian Angels offers many opportunities for all ages.

Join our online Youth Faith Formation Program Group or the online Adult Faith Formation Program Group to stay informed, connected and support one another.

PROGRAMS

•Early Childhood: Ages 3, 4 and 5. Classes are offered during the 9:00AM Mass, October through April.

•Preschool through grade 6: ages 4 through 12. Vacation Bible School.

•Grades 1 to 8: All classes meet for 1 hr., 15 minutes on either Sunday morning at 10:15 or Wednesday night at 6:15pm. Classes meet October through April.

•Grades 2, 3 and 4: Sacrament of Reconciliation.  Preparation for the Sacrament of First Reconciliation will be interwoven with the usual Faith Formation Schedule.  It includes peer learning sessions in classrooms, large group sessions with parents and children together, some large group sessions with parents only (to support parents as the primary educators) as well as some home learning sessions.  We will celebrate the Sacrament in early January 2012.

•Grades 2 and up: First Eucharist. Preparation for the Sacrament of First Eucharist will be interwoven with the usual Faith Formation Schedule.  It will include peer learning sessions in classrooms, large group sessions with parents and children together, some large group sessions with parents only (to support parents as the primary educators) as well as some home learning sessions.  We will celebrate the Sacrament in April 2012.

•Grades 9 and up: Sacrament of Confirmation. Candidates attend four sessions with their sponsors. The can begin at any time and take sessions in any order. Confirmation is celebrated when they finish the preparation.
