Sunday Series - Vatican II:  A Short Course
  January 3: From the Same Well-Spring: Tradition & Scripture in The Dogmatic Constitution on Divine Revelation
  February 7: The Church in the World: The Pastoral Constitution on the Church in the Modern World
  March 7: Living as Priest, Prophet & King:  Decree on the Apostolate of Lay People
  May 2: The Church and Other Religions:  Decree on Ecumenism, Declaration on Religious Liberty, Declaration on the Relation of the Church to Non-Christian Religions

Bible Study
Gospel of Luke
Learn more about the Gospel of Luke, which we’ll be hearing throughout the year durin gour weekend liturgies.  No Bible Study experience necessary.  Cost is $14.
Dates/Times: January through April, Wednesday afternoons 1:30-3:15pm or Monday eveings 7-8:45pm.

JustFaith
JustFaith is an extended justice education process that meets weekly employing books, videos, guest speakers, discussion, prayer, retreats and hands-on experiences. Participants are also afforded the privilege of becoming community with other participants and sharing a journey of faith and compassion that is both life-giving and challenging.  Contact Bob Walz (789-3181) for more information.
Dates/Times: September 9 through May 1.  Thursday evenings 6:30-9pm.

Engaging Spirituality
Deepen your spiritual life with a retreat, prayer and reflection, book discussions, spiritual immersions, viewing documentaries, correspondence from spiritual teachers across the globe, and a review of spiritual practices and exercises.  Call Bob Walz (789-3181) for more information.
Dates/Times: October 2 through May 9.  Monday evenings 6:30-9pm or Sunday mornings 10am-12:30pm.

JustMatters
A series of programs for parishioners wanting to learn more about particular justice issues facing us today.  This is a non-partisan approach that incorporates the position of the Caholic Church.  Contact Bob Walz (789-3181) if interested.
Dates/Times:
   New Wineskins, forming Christian Based Communions.  TBA.
  Crossing Borders: Migration, Theology and the Human Journey.  January 3 through Feb. 25, 2010.
  Living Solidarity, budgets as moral statements and simple living, March 7 through April 29, 2010.

First Thursdays
A book and video discussion series on justice issues.  Come for one or more.

Rebuilding
Rebuilding is a 10 week series for individuals experiencing separation or divorce. It is devoted to self-discovery, healing and growing beyond the ending of a relationship.  Contact Deacon Terry Beer (789-3173) for more information. 
Dates/Times:  Spring Series: Thursdays, March 4-May 13, 2010, 6:30-8:30pm.

EVENSONG

Set aside time to pray through song and seasonal readings roughly once a month.
Dates/Times: Sundays at 7 p.m.  January 3, 2010, February 7, March 7, March 28, May 2, 2010 and June 6.

Sowers Quarterly Forums

Sowers of Justice is a network for Catholics in the St. Paul/Minneapolis area who are committed to changing hearts and changing social structures on behalf of justice. At Guardian Angels, we will sponsor quarterly forums.  Contact Bob Walz (789-3181) for further information.

SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
An ongoing, year-round process of faith formation for adults seeking to join the Catholic Church. Sessions take place on Sunday mornings.  Contact Nancylee Jonza (651-789-3185)

Baptism Preparation
The Guardian Angels Baptism Preparation session is for all parents having their first child baptized or if they are new to the community. If they have had a child baptized at Guardian Angels within two years, they are encouraged to attend the baptism preparation session but not required. Baptism Preparation sessions are scheduled once a month, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Contact Sue Dwuznik to register (651-789-3180). The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated on Sunday afternoon at 12:30 p.m. during a special Liturgy of Baptism twice a month. Baptism is also scheduled for one weekend Mass once a month. Baptisms are not celebrated during the liturgical seasons of Advent and Lent.

Marriage Preparation
Marriage preparation at Guardian Angels includes an initial meeting with a priest or deacon, explaining the purpose and goal of the policies for marriage at Guardian Angels; administration, evaluation and feedback of PREPARE with a “PREPARE Couple”; participating in a Wedding Workshop and working with the Liturgy Team to plan their wedding ceremony.
