First Reconciliation
As disciples of Jesus we are called to love God, our neighbor and ourselves, and to help bring a about God’s Kindgom here on earth. When we fail to love and serve others, we need forgiveness and reconciliation with God, others and self. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is the special means of experiencing God’s love and forgiveness.

PREPARING & CELEBRATINGTHE GIFT OF FORGIVENESS
As the primary and most important religious educators of their children, parents model God’s unconditional love and forgiveness by the way they love and forgive members of the family. It is in the home that we learn to admit our sins and failures and to experience forgiveness and love.
The parish offers sessions for parents and their children to assist them in understanding sin and the need and process of reconciliation. The Reconciliation Book and the Parent Handbook are tools to enable the learning experience in the home.
Some families choose to prepare their children in a cluster learning approach with a group of 2 or more children and their parents in the homes of these children.
There is no additional cost for this program above the basic cost of the Parish Faith Formation Program.
