PREPARING & CELEBRATING THE GIFT OF JESUS
Because parents are the primary and most important educators of their children, most of the preparation for this sacrament happens in the home. Each home is the child’s “mini church”, a model of what community is all about, namely, learning to live as disciples of Jesus, receiving and giving love to those within the family and outside the family. Each family receives a child’s Eucharist Book and a Parent Handbook. The parish sessions and the take home materials provided assist the parents and child in this sacred time of preparation. The parish supports these families with prayer and good example. Some families choose to prepare their children in a cluster learning approach with a group of 2 or more children and their parents in the homes of these children. There is no additional cost for this program above the basic cost of the Parish Faith Formation Program. Coordinator, Nancylee Jonza Ext. 145 email: njonza@guardian-angels.org
