Care and Support Programs

Our Ministry of Pastoral Care focuses on being a supportive presence and being the personal, one-to-one ministry of Guardian Angels parish to parishioners, especially significant in such a large parish. 

 

The ministry of Pastoral Care includes:

•Ministry of Befrienders

•Ministry of Assisting Residents of Woodbury Health Care Center

•Ministry of brining Communion to patients at Woodwinds Hospital, Woodbury and at Pillars, hospice residence, Oakdale.

•Ministry of our Parish Senior Group of Elders (Retreads, Elder Friends)

•Ministry of Care Notes
Available in the kiosk at the entrance/gathering space of the worship space and also in the pamphlet rack near the Prayer Center.  Notes are on various topics (caregivers support, grieving, new baby in the home, adult children supporting parents as they experience changes in health, residence, etc…)

•Ministry of Grief Support Groups
Booklets available in kiosk and in Care Notes pamphlet rack giving description of and Information about available Grief Support Groups in our area.

•Ministry of the Prayer Center
Kiosk by the Fireside Room where parishioners list their needs for prayer.

Pastoral Care and Support Programs also include Catholics Coming Home and Rebuilding.
